Great Watch!

I recently bought this watch because my old watch was pretty much gone. I was initially drawn to the classy design that is complex yet not crowded a look that I really like personally. Watch fits perfectly after I removed a few links which was rather difficult. I have a fairly large wrist and had to adjust the clasp to its smallest setting and remove two links so be prepared. I was using a tack and an ink pen to remove the link pins so that's probably why it was difficult. Which dial was which did befuddle me a bit but I finally figured out that the larger second hand was actually the one for the stopwatch not the smaller top dial. Overall great watch and I really like how it fits my wrist. The case is big enough to not feel puny yet thin enough to not feel bulky. Solid feeling stainless construction is a plus. The sliding bezel is very nice and smooth doesn't click like most watches... That could be a positive or negative depends on one's tastes personally it didn't really matter to me. Stylish sporty and elegant

I own this watch my first seiko.



This watch has a combination of classic(classy leather strap) and sporty design(Sexy black dial). Looks good with dresses and casuals alike.



I got this watch after looking for this combination for a lot of time. I m happy that I got this one much cheaper than I expected to pay for a watch like this.



Somehow it looks much better on my wrist than my friends who is fairer.

Just an update after more than an year of usage! No scratches on the watch the leather strap as good as new and I wear it everyday! This must say something about the quality!More detail ...

Nice Watch

Pros: Works as advertised. Smooth operation: buttons and crowns are big and easy to push pull and turn. Easy to set alarm. Easy time zone changes. Chronograph functions. Split time feature. Quartz accuracy. Dial flashes when alarm sounds. Looks even better than the picture.



Cons: Dial contrast is not as pronounced as in picture which makes it a little harder to see the hands without my glasses than I anticipated but I can manage. Alarm is too quiet for me to hear in most circumstances but I do have a profound high-frequency hearing loss. Young people won't be bothered by either of these issues.



I'm satisfied with the watch. It looks good and has good features.



Overall a quality high-tech look and function in a watch that is accurate affordable and from a company that has a reputation for durable watches. Status hounds look elsewhere.



Hadley Roma sells a black stainless bracelet that will fit this watch but they also sell high-quality deployant clasps to fit the leather band for those who don't particularly like buckled bands.



One more thing if you don't read the instructions before you begin playing with the watch functions you will think the watch is defective. The watch requires some simple to perform calibrations for the chronograph dials to function properly.More detail ...

Great Watch

I upgraded to the eco-drive from a watch that recharged by wrist motion. So far I'm a lot happier with the eco-drive. It holds a charge a lot longer so it's not a problem to leave it unworn for a day or two. I didn't like the green military style band on this one but it was easy to swap for a leather 20mm band. The stock band was a tad small for my wrist. I would expect a lot of men would need to swap it. The numbers look big in the picture and they're big on the watch. I like the big numbers others might not.



May 2008 Update:

I still like this watch as much as the day it arrived! It works perfectly never runs out of battery and looks good. For those of you who haven't paid for a decent watch you might not realize you're missing out on a good quality glass / crystal face. Mine still is scratch free.
